Dry eye syndrome can be caused by many different factors, and, in most cases, requires treatment by eye drops which can be of various types – lubricating, hydrating, mucoadhesive. Section Dry Eye
The stye is an infection of the implantation area of an eyelash called the "pilosebaceous follicle. It presents itself as a small, red, hot and painful bulge the size of a grain of barley located on the edge of the eyelid and centred on one eyelash. It appears within a day or two then when it ripens, it forms a pocket of visible white-yellowish pus on the surface of the stye.

Blepharitis is an inflammation of the free edge of the eyelid which can spread to all eyelids. Blepharitis manifests itself by a redness and swelling of the eyelid, with small scabs on the skin and at the root of the eyelashes. It often affects both eyes at the same time, and is accompanied by pain or itching of the eyelids. Other ocular signs are often associated: eye redness, sensations of grains of sand, burning, itching and/or secretions.

Section Blepharitis
A chalazion is a hot, red, painful lump under or on the eyelid, which appears within a day or two. Its size may be that of a lentil or a pea, or sometimes even an olive. The chalazion may be on the outside of the eyelid and may be seen easily, but it can also be on the inner side: from the outside, the eyelid is simply red and swollen, and the eyelid must be everted to see the chalazion.
