What are the symptoms of these ocular allergic reactions?
The signs of Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis are itching, foreign body sensation – like sand in the eye – and swollen eyelids. The eye can also turn red. It is frequent to observe extra-ocular signs like rhinitis or respiratory signs.
Symptoms of perennial conjunctivitis are often less severe but last all year-round.
The infection of the cornea is characterized by tearing, an ocular – sometimes important – pain and an abnormal intolerance of the light (photophobia).
